GROW CHRISTIAN GROW

ABOUT ME

Thank you for showing an interest in growing into the Christian that God our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior desire.  Let me introduce myself.

I have been married to the most beautiful woman in the world for over 35 years.  We have two

adult children; one of which is married to a wonderful young lady.

I grew up attending church.  I graduated from high school in 1971 and entered into the Coast Guard.  While in the Coast Guard I had my rebellious time period and experienced many of the sinful attractions of the world.

In January of 1974 I was transferred to the Coast Guard Cutter Midgett.  There, I met Joe White. He was a Boatswains Mate on the ship, but he was a wonderful Christian who not only talked the talk of a Christian, he walked the walk.  His example changed my life.  When we were out at sea, he would hold Bible Studies and Worship Services.  He was transferred shortly after I arrived on the ship, But I never forgot him and his example.  I rededIcated my life to Jesus Christ in April of 1974 and began to hold Bible Studies and Worship Services on the ship, just like he did.

I left the Coast Guard in 1976 to get my education and become a Navy Chaplain. I was ordained in 1981. I received my Master of Divinity degree with a minor in psychology in 1988.  I then spent three years as a Navy Chaplain.  The Lord then called me out of the military and into the civilian world.

Since my rededication in 1974, I have served many congregations in the roll of a Pastor or Teacher.  The Lord has opened my eyes to the fact that all of my sermons and all the lessons I teach have one main focus, i.e., How To Grow as a Christian.

I have seen many Christians grow as they apply the lessons I teach.  I want to help you grow, too.  May God richly Bless you as you strive to grow into the Christian Servant you and He desire.
